Our Projects

Snapi Zera is supporting Child mothers in Iganga (Uganda) who are suffering with the responsibility of caring for teenage pregnancies and looking after children at an early age. Most of them are managing child led families as single mothers after the men denied responsibilities of looking after the children.

It is unfortunate that a number of these children conceive with their close relatives like brothers, uncles and even fathers. Others conceive with school teachers, food vendors and transport service providers who take them to school like taxi drivers. After the child gets pregnant, the men deny responsibility leaving the girls alone without support.

This is worsened by parents who banish these girls making them homeless pushing them further to more suffering.

Snapi Zera is therefore working to rehabilitate these children by uniting them with their families, helping them to go back to school, skilling them with financial and parenting skills among other activities.
